1. What data we collect

We believe in keeping things simple. We only collect the information we need to help you grow your content:

Transaction Data: Details about the Hook Packs you’ve purchased.
Technical Data: Your IP address and browser type (collected via cookies by Google Analytics to help us understand site usage).

We use your information for two main reasons:

1. To fulfill our contract with you: Delivering the free or paid Hook Packs you’ve requested.

To help you grow: We rely on the "soft opt-in" rule for existing customers, which allows us to send you helpful tips about similar products after you’ve engaged with us, provided we gave you a clear chance to opt-out at signup. We only do this because we have a legitimate interest in supporting your creator journey with relevant content.

Important: We never sell your data to third parties. Every marketing email we send includes a one-click "Unsubscribe" link.

3. Our third-party partners

To run Hook A Doodle Doo, we use a few industry-standard tools. Your data is securely stored with them:

Gumroad: Processes our payments and digital deliveries.
Kit: Manages our email community and tips.
Google Analytics: Helps us understand site traffic.

Some of these partners are based in the USA. We ensure they use standard contractual clauses to protect your data to the same high standards required in the UK and EU.

4. How long we keep your info

We only keep your data as long as we’re actually providing value to you. If you haven’t opened or clicked one of our emails in 18 months, we’ll assume you’ve moved on to other projects and will securely delete your marketing data. We do, however, keep records of any purchases indefinitely for tax and legal reasons.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. You also have an absolute right to object to direct marketing.
